Network Service Manager

Your role

Responsible for planning, organising, and managing a team of NOC engineers and overall operations for our Cloud Connect and Metro Connect Network to ensure that the networking system run efficiently with no downtime or customer service impacts. Provides overall expertise with all network operations functions such as monitoring, network incident management.

Troubleshoot all network incidents and any customer reported services issue within agreed upon SLA. 

Responsible for the day-to-day performance of the Cloud Connect and Metro Connect Network

  • Ensure the network is monitored for potential service affecting issues 24/7
  • Ensure network alarms are responded to in a timely fashion to prevent service affecting issues where possible or to minimize the duration of service affecting issues in compliance with SLAs in place
  • Respond to customer and Cloud Service Provider (CSP) trouble reports in compliance within SLAs in place
  • Produce metrics against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure the network is performing within design specifications and customer requirements

Troubleshoot all network incidents and any customer reported services issue within agreed upon SLA. 

Lead the efforts associated with the performance improvement efforts of Operations Support including the Cloud Connect service and other departments

What you’ll need

  • Network Operations Centre Management
  • Cisco Networking
  • Working experience of IP/MPLS (Juniper MX Series desirable)
  • Working experience of Optical Ethernet and Transport Network. (Ciena 6500 and ADVA FSP series desirable)
  • Working experience of VMWare
  • Working experience of Linux systems
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Express Route /AWS Direct Connect/Google Connect or other CSP services an advantage.

knowledge of Python and Ansible would be an advantage
