Your role

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for preparation/coordinating of all building- and datacenter maintenance (preventive- and corrective maintenance) and all related repairs in order to minimize ‘downtime’.

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the optimal functioning of the maintenance process (preventive and corrective maintenance) and acts as a bridge between the Technical Operations and maintenance contractors/suppliers. The maintenance department is single point of contact for maintenance contractors/suppliers.

Main focus areas for this role are the planning, preparation/development of maintenance plans (including Methods of Procedure), diagnosing failures and making recommendations for improvement. Key in these areas is the correct use of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Act in different roles set in 1st line support (gatekeeper, basic support, admin), 2nd line support (non-recurring work, manage master data in Ultimo), 3rd line support (problem management root cause analyses) incorporation with continuity and commissioning Team.

What you'll do

Development and implementation of maintenance plans in cooperation with Technical Operations
Request Method Statements from contractors or suppliers where applicable and submit to Technical Operations for review and approval.
Coordinate the change management cycle in cooperation with ECSC and Technical Operations.
Document all executed maintenance and repairs in line with agreed procedures and documentation. standards, set byTechnical Operations.
Support by measurements of process and set KPI’s.
Manage master data in Ultimo in cooperation with the Maintenance Planning Manager and Technical Operations
Monitor the CMMS processes and prepare reports and dashboards for Technical Operations.
Perform quality checks between Service planning to Technical Operations controls/handshakes.
Perform quality checks between Service planning to OPS admin controls/handshakes

What you'll need

Experience of project planning/scheduling and reporting
Experience in the data centre sector or telecommunications
Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Listens attentively, speaks clearly and concisely, creates accurate and punctual reports and able to communicate on different levels
5 years’ experience as a technician in an (electrical or industrial) critical environment (e.g. full continuous factory).
MBO-4 degree level in a technical field or local equivalent.
2-4 years’ experience in a Maintenance coordination role.
Knowledge and/or experience working in an ITIL environment.
Fluent in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing.
