Your role

The Local ICT Manager manages the Local ICT team in country, who manage all local ICT systems and support the local users of these systems, in close coordination with the Global ICT team. The Local ICT Manager plans, coordinates and prioritises the day-to-day activities of the team, consisting of Local-ICT tasks and Functional Management of local applications. The Local ICT Manager is responsible for the overall budgeting of all related costs (OPEX and CAPEX) and manages the relevant external supplier contracts. Acts as first point of contact for IT related incidents and escalations. Additionally, the Local ICT Manager develops and manages adequate knowledge management within the team to be able to deliver agreed quality and service levels. The ICT Manager can define, prepare and execute local ICT projects (from initiation to acceptance), in the role of project manager, for all projects within his scope.

Responsibility

Leads, develops and inspires a team of ICT professionals, delegates tasks within the team, assures adequate resources to deliver the expected service levels and workload and provide daily operational management

Has full people management responsibility (hiring, goal setting, performance review, etc.)

Manage alignment with Global ICT team at Interxion Headquarters:

Report on agreed KPI’s related to ongoing projects, status of ticket queues, special tasks and scheduled maintenance.
Maintain alignment with relevant stakeholders on expected service levels and required support from HQ
Assure the representation of NL in ICT related meetings and calls between NL and HQ
Provide input to and support strategic HQ projects in the area of ICT, that can impact the NL organization.

• Support Internal Customers

Define and align service levels for internal support and availability of local ICT systems
Setup, maintain and support the alarm handling policy, setting the standards of all alarming systems, related reports on KPI’s and performance
Manage adequate support to the Service Operations teams on all local ICT systems, by assuring the corresponding support contracts, training arrangements from external suppliers and local knowledge management on the systems.
Provide suggestions for improvement to the Operations Management Team to enhance the effectiveness and increase performance and efficiency of the use of the ICT systems.

• Budget and Vendor management

Manages the External Vendors. Performs vendor selection for related services and product, manages vendor relationships and vendor performance reviews.
Reviews price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for all ICT activities and systems.
Yearly review of all ICT spending, preparing a new draft budget and submit to Director Operations.
Provide input to monthly financial forecasting meeting with finance department and report to the Director Operations.
Manage annual support / maintenance contracts and related budgets.
Report local ICT performance to Operations Management

Position reports to Service Planning Manager and has relationships with all departments in the local organisation and with global ICT

Qualiffications

Bachelor degree level education in relevant field such as Computer Science
5+ years experience in ICT support environment
Previous experience in a similar role.
Fluent in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing
Proven ability to prepare and manage multi-discipline projects
Excellent Knowledge of ITIL Service Management
Good Knowledge and experience with Service Management tooling
Detailed knowledge of Windows, Office, Windows Servers, IOS and VMWare.
Good general technical knowledge in relation to basic understanding of all technical infrastructure in a data centre
