Overview
As a Data Center Technician (f/m/d) at Interxion: A Digital Realty Company you are responsible for the 24x7 availability of the Data Center(s) as required by customers. In addition, you will also support the customer service activities and the day-to-day data center operation by performing regular checks on the critical infrastructure. Other responsibilities will include customer requests for remote hands services (Hands & Eyes) and installation/de-installation of cross connects.
Your role
- Actively handling optical and electrical installations within our Data Centers
- Providing technical support to our international customers
- Managing Cross-Connections, cablings, installations, documents and testing
- Act as the “hands and eyes” of our customers and providing them with on-site support
- Operating migration and maintenance activities, while providing constant feedback through our internal systems
Your profile
- Vocational qualification in a technical field or local equivalent education (CAP)
- Min. 2 year experience in a technical or electrical environment
- Experience with electrical wiring, wiring networks and optical fiber installations; data center experience would be of advantage
- Good understanding of Microsoft office applications (e.g. Excel)
- Analytical and flexible working manner
- Fluent in German and English
