Overview

Position Title:  SVP, Global Marketing

 

Your role

The SVP of Marketing has overall accountability for building and executing the go to market strategy to accelerate Digital Realty’s performance globally. This role will have global oversight of end-to-end marketing, including brand strategy, events, communications and public relations, corporate marketing, demand generation as well as oversight of marketing leaders in the Americas, APAC, and EMEA.

Key success criteria in this role includes the ability to develop strategic plans in a collaborative and integrated way, respecting and building on global plans and guidelines to synthesize business objectives into strategic Marketing plans which lead to increased brand awareness, stimulating demand and opportunities for sales and long-term business success. The incumbent must be able to translate Marketing trends and commercial insights to strong brand and demand generation strategies.  Functional knowledge, operational understanding, strategic thinking, and communication are critical skills for success in this role; the roles’ objectives can only be met through very strong people leadership and relationship management with business and other internal partners.

 

What you’ll do

  • Responsible for the design of and execute a coherent go to market strategy to ensure global positioning to achieve mid-long term market goals
  • Design & execute strategic global marketing strategies that deliver globally, yet are locally relevant, that build awareness and generate high-quality demand for the business Create an integrated go-to-market offering helping Digital play in both the colocation and scale space
  • Oversee Global campaigns throughout the lifecycle – launch, execution and wrap-up
  • Define and measure success while using key metrics to measure and track performance; support readiness and report performance of Regional marketing campaigns and events
  • Work with key internal stakeholders to execute on PlatformDIGITAL® strategy
  • Coordination and development of all advertising collateral including working with third party agencies, self-developed materials and advertising sales; development and maintenance of all customer facing materials
  • Management of the marketing budget, coordinating with Finance business partners as needed

 

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
  • Extremely collaborative leader with ability to be flexible and creative

  • Recognized industry leader; strong executive presence; solid track record of strategic accomplishments in companies experiencing rapid growth and expansion where constant challenges are the norm

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong sense of urgency is required
  • Proven ability to effectively lead large cross functional teams in the completion of high-profile projects; ability to multi-task and proactively manage expectations of senior management
