Senior Project Manager

Your role

The Senior Project Manager Construction Sweden reports into the Senior Director Construction Project Management and is responsible for day to day construction activities of assigned new data centre projects. The main aim of the role is to manage all assigned new data centre projects from construction to hand over to the operations team making sure we follow global standards on process, procurement, reporting and design so that we deliver the right product for the defined intended customer mix in time whilst optimising the cost throughout the construction life cycle. In this role you will be leading a cross functional team, adopting global standards in order to make use of the long track record within the global organisation and provide consistency to our global and local customers. You will work cooperatively with our Global organization, EMEA- and country management.

The main purpose of the role is safe, consistent, efficient, timely and high-quality execution of our construction projects. You will have budget responsibility for a project portfolio with regards to the Construction part projects in Sweden. 

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or similar) and extensive project management experience of technically complex projects required
  • 10+ years’ experience working in construction industry, experience in the Data Centre beneficial.
  • Strong background in Project Management methodologies and managing a multi project structure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, English and Spanish is a must
  • Experience in Continuous Process Improvement and defining and managing associated metrics and KPIs
  • Experience in data centres or a similar mission critical environment is considered a significant advantage though not essential this will be a key consideration should multiple candidates be assessed for suitability
  • Self-motivated, goal oriented and an excellent team-player
