Sales and Partner Enablement, Senior Manager

Your role

The EMEA Sales and Partner Enablement lead will be responsible for providing innovative and technical direction in enabling our sellers and partner ecosystem in support of our corporate goals and objectives.

The successful candidate will be involved with in-house enablement programs intended to raise efficiency and overall productivity of the Global Sales organization. S/he will also manage the global Partner Enablement program to drive our Partner’s sales success and expand Digital Realty opportunities.

Reporting to the Senior Director of EMEA Sales Operations, this role requires the individual to collaborate with stakeholders in Channel and Enterprise Sales, Marketing, Product, Training, Operations, and other cross-functional teams. S/He will conduct needs analyses and develop resources to address gaps and opportunities for improvement.

The ideal candidate for this position will be someone currently in a Partner and/or Sales Enablement leadership role who is looking to broaden the impact of their expertise and enjoys the excitement and challenges of equipping a sales team with resources to excel.

What you’ll need

Partner Enablement

  • Establish consistent communication with our EMEA and Global Channel Sales and Sales Leadership; gather feedback to uncover opportunities to best support the sales process and sales objectives
  • Execute Partner Enablement programs including communications, scheduling, measurement, and reporting against the agreed business metrics
  • Maintain sales enablement resources and content repositories for ease of access and use by the Channel Partners
  • Provide regular updates to regional channel management on the status of each partner’s enablement and detail the achievements against the agreed business metrics
  • Identify areas where additional Partner learning and reinforcement are required
  • Onboarding of new Channel Partners

Sales Enablement

  • Collaborate with the Global Sales Enablement team to develop sales guides, competitive fact sheets, and other compelling sales enablement assets to support teams and help advance deals
  • Partner with the Sales Management leadership team to monitor performance of new sales representatives within their first 90 days, identify “at risk” or underperforming reps and work with Sales Management to develop solutions to improve their performance
  • Track and analyze enablement effectiveness to determine readiness and prioritize resources
  • Coach sales team on best use of marketing and sales enablement materials, positioning, value proposition, audience, etc.
  • Work with Marketing to manage customer advocacy programs focused on creating case studies and other customer content resources to improve Sales’ ability to build brand awareness and personal credibility with their customer base
  • Work with Training & Development to identify, create, and update training curriculum modules and materials to improve education processes for new and tenured sales reps
  • Supplement the formal New Hire Training Program with Sales Enablement programs for a holistic approach to the onboarding experience

  • Demonstrated ability to partner/work cross-functionally with product, marketing, and finance teams, to create impact
  • Demonstrated strategic planning skills, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience dealing at senior/executive level
  • Proven success as mentor/coach to young sales professional
  • Self-starter, high-energy, with ability to execute on business objectives
  • Ability to multitask, change priorities rapidly and work under pressure
  • Excellent organizational skill
