Account Director, EMEA Regional Sales

Your role

The purpose of this role is to provide a commercial, EMEA point of contact for a named (set of) Global customer(s) in order to leverage a uniform approach to the selling of products and services to end-customers and ongoing account relationship management. You will be also responsible for liaising with colleagues in International, Marketing and multiple Country Teams to ensure full support for a complete go to market sales effort aligned to agreed key areas of opportunity within the international sales strategy. This Account Director role will focus primarily on opening up new regional opportunities via existing Hyperscale accounts. Preferred location: London.

In this role, you report into our VP Global Account Sales, based in the US.

What you’ll need

  • Educated to Bachelors/Masters Level
  • 8+ years relevant sales experience
  • Winning large, complex international deals as well as SME type of deals
  • Working with fast growing start-ups & USA headquartered organizations
  • Experience in International IT / data center / telco / network industry
  • Excellent organizational, financial, communication and time management skills
  • Fluent in English, both in writing and orally.
  • Demonstrable and solid understanding of direct and indirect sales and the Data Center industry
  • Understanding of the USA and European market, geographies, culture and dynamics
  • Proven ability to articulate clear value propositions and negotiate complex agreements in multinational settings
  • Ability and willingness to travel (initial focus on USA)
  • Travels with an average of 2.5 days per week (sometimes 1-2 weeks from home)
  • Experience of selling globally
