SENIOR MANAGER – LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT

 

About the Role

As a Learning & Development specialist you ensure the design, effective implementation, successful delivery, and reporting/metrics of a broad range of learning and development offerings. You will partner with business leaders and HR to understand the learning needs, ensure that the learning opportunities available cover both global and local business requests. You will work with third party vendors to create and deliver on identified programs and related system implementations.

This role will be part of the Global Talent Management Centre of Excellence (COE), report to the Senior Director and be based in Hoofddorp, the Netherlands.

What You Will Do

  • Be the key point of contact for all L&D initiatives for the business.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders across the business to assess and identify skills and development needs. You will support and lead the creation of a learning culture.
  • Curate and develop impactful L&D content to ensure a broad portfolio of employee development opportunities is available.
  • Design, develop and implement varied, contemporary, and agile learning solutions that address individual and organizational needs. You find ways to encourage participation and engage employees and positively impact job performance.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders and keep them up to date with relevant information, updates, learning progress and priorities. You will optimise the learning related reporting.
  • Ensure high quality of learning programs by continuously evaluate and assess feedback from training sessions and further develop, enhance, and adapt the format and content where required.
  • Work with third party vendors for content creation and delivery. You also take responsibility for pricing and contract negotiations. You ensure an effective collaboration and smooth administrative processing.
  • Monitor the usage of the L&D budget, working with the senior director to optimize spend.
  • Take ownership of our Learning Platform and work on further optimizing the system.

 

Who Are You

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of L&D experience related to the full learning cycle and prior experience in CoE role covering training  needs analysis, development, design, delivery, and evaluation.
  • Ability to translate the needs of the business into effective and efficient learning solutions.
  • Background working with Learning Experience Platforms and optimization of the system.
  • Proven track record in successfully selecting, working, and collaborating with external third-party vendors for content creation and training delivery
  • Up to date on latest learning trends, practices, and methodologies, approaches (e.g., gamification).
  • Able to build and maintain effective working relationships across the business.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence and impact key stakeholders.
  • Driven self-starter, with ability to work alone and within a team.
  • Well-developed training delivery, facilitation, listening, and coaching capabilities.
  • Fluency in English, spoken and written. Other European languages are a plus.
