Your role
Have you got what it takes to manage a capital programme of projects relating to contracts, procurement, budget allocation, supply chain management, contract admin, construction risk management, health and safety compliance, commissioning and certification? Then Interxion have the ideal role for you.
Operating independently on assigned projects, but working collaboratively as part of our U.K. Project Management Office, you’ll play a vital role in helping company targets to be met and make a positive impact on our customers. Along the way, you’ll need to monitor and report on contractors’ progress, actively manage internal clients in terms of their requirements and expectations and delivery of programme and appoint, manage and monitor design consultants as required. Developing and administering a disruption and communications plan for projects, liaising with a variety of stakeholders on all phases of the project life cycle and ensuring Risk Management procedures are in place – these are just some aspects of this interesting, varied and vital role.
What you’ll need
A degree level or equivalent education in an engineering or construction related field and, ideally, Membership of a professional institution
A good understanding of the application of project management procedures and processes, plus proven project programming skills
A track record in client side management, including managing engineering/construction projects, with experience of working in a data centre management role preferred
Excellent leadership, planning and communication skills, lots of self-motivation and a willingness to assume responsibility and work on your own initiative
The ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines, both independently and as part of a team
Proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite of programmes, including Projects
plus knowledge of project planning programme ‘Team Plan’ or the desire to learn (full training can be given)
