POSITION: Director, Product Management – Service Fabric Virtual

Opportunity Snapshot

Are you passionate about product management, and leading teams through software defined networking.  Here within Digital Realty’s technology innovation department, we pride ourselves in our ability to support our customers and teams through performance solution systems to ensure our organization is optimizing technology.

Responsibilities: 

  • Definition and maintenance of product roadmap:
    • Definition and management of product roadmap process, including inputs from all required internal functions and direct external analysis   
      • Customer and sales outreach to maintain awareness of customer needs and opportunities
      • Market analysis to identify and capitalize on emerging trends
      • Competitive analysis to stay abreast of competing offerings
      • Input from business stakeholders
  • Clearly communicate product roadmap and generate buy-in by:
    • Building strong internal relationships with executive leadership, IT, Sales, Marketing, Support, and Operations
    • Effectively collaborating with external partners and vendors
  • Support on-time delivery of new features by:
    • Identifying new feature opportunities
    • Collaborating with Product Engineering to define requirements and use cases
    • Providing ancillary support to engineering efforts as required
  • Cross Functional coordination of feature launch activities including:
    • Functional readiness of required organizations i.e., Sales, Marketing, Operations and Support, Product Management, etc.
    • Preparation and delivery of training and other materials to ensure business readiness
    • Internal and external communication of product changes

The Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or computer science, or equivalent experience
  • Track record of developing and managing successful products
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Previous experience successfully launching new products and/or major features
  • General understanding of cloud computing and SaaS business models
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to deliver executive briefings
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% (once conditions are safe)

Nice To Haves:

  • Previous experience in the colocation, hosting, and/or data center industries
  • Experience working in a startup environment
  • Experience with any of cloud computing, multi-cloud deployment & operations, software defined networking, and/or net
