Position: Senior Manager, Channel Programs

Opportunity Snapshot

The Sr. Manager, Channel Programs, is for an individual who will grow, manage, and operationalize Digital Realty’s indirect sales partner framework across our global platform. You will coordinate with your channel and sales colleagues to target, capture, onboard, and grow new and existing partners and align them to the right program fit and incentives to drive indirect sales growth.  Additionally, you will coordinate with Sales executive leadership, Operations, Marketing, Legal, and Business Development to provide program oversight, engagement, and governance with our partners.   You'll interact with a broad array of partners, senior executives, with various existing and perspective partners allowing you to expand your knowledge as well as leveraging and growing your professional network.

The position is North America based, and flexible on specific location as the position can be performed in a primarily remote work environment. You will work with colleagues across several functional areas of the firm including sales & marketing, product portfolio, legal, finance, accounting, taxation, and customer service, among others located in the U.S., EMEA and Asia Pacific regions.

The Requirements

 To be the right fit for this role – Sr. Manager, Channel Programs role, the candidate needs to have:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience; an MBA is a plus.
  • 10+ years’ experience with 5+ years of partner experience, including sales, marketing, business development preferably in the data center industry or market adjacency
  • Working knowledge of networks, cloud, and other Hybrid IT technologies preferred
  • Experience developing and driving initiatives in a matrixed corporate environment
  • Ability to create business plans, manage and track program KPI’s, and communicate them appropriately throughout the organization at all levels.
  • Experienced and capable of working in a self-directed environment
  • Previous experience in developing and running go-to-market and marketing programs for partnerships and/or channel - indirect sales organization

The Role

Reporting to the VP of Alliance Partners in the Channels & Alliances Organization, you will develop and drive structure to our global partner programs, attract and assist with the growth of our most strategic partner relationships, and evangelize our channel program and value proposition across all indirect sales.  Leading the Digital Realty partner program framework oversight and coordination, you will work directly with your partner and direct sales teams to promote our value proposition and globally align our indirect sales strategy and approach.  You must be able to work in partnership with several organizations across Digital Realty to execute measurable key success factors.  The right candidate will also possess a combination of strong partner program management, fundamental financial modeling, business development, and operations.

Your overall objectives will include:

  • Forming and implementation of the global partner program framework, common across all partners and regions
  • Leads and governs with sales ops deal registration and approval
  • Drives common channel practices across all regions
  • Overlay partner and direct sales teams to align partners to the appropriate program, enables partners and sales on the program
  • Assist the partner teams with strategic partner initiatives, contracts, and onboarding
  • Drives assessment and placement of new partner entrants
  • Overall cross-functional lead to drive new initiatives and activities affecting the channel
  • Drive partner program priorities with Sales,  Operations, platforms & marketing, and industry segment organizations
