 POSITION: Senior Manager, Compensation

This role offers you the opportunity to make an impact at one of the largest full-service data center providers in the world.  We are looking for an intelligent, collaborative, and customer-focused broad-based compensation professional to join our Total Rewards team. Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Compensation, you will be a high functioning individual contributor on the team, managing all aspects of our broad-based compensation program (job architecture, salary structure, bonus programs, corporate compensation policies, and year-end processes), and providing key analyses to inform the direction of the company with respect to compensation matters.

 

The Requirements

 To meet the basic qualifications for this role you will have:

  • 7+ years relevant work experience, with at least 3 years in a broad-based compensation role.
  • Experience with complex project management, including prior project ownership of the year-end cycle.
  • Strong results orientation. Ability to balance time and priorities and to identify innovative ways to efficiently get the job done.
  • Demonstrated success providing advice / internal consultation to corporate staff, especially HRBPs.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate date.  
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to compensation.
  • CCP – Certified Compensation Professional is a plus.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing all aspects of our broad-based compensation programs and for providing key analyses to inform the direction of the company with respect to compensation matters.You will work closely with employees at all levels and partner with cross-functional teams.

Specifically, you will:

  • Manage annual and ad hoc projects related to broad-based compensation. Projects include, but are not limited to, year-end compensation planning, budgeting, survey participation, salary structure review, M&A activity / integrations, etc.
  • Generate and analyze recurrent and ad-hoc reports for multiple internal and external corporate partners (e.g., HR/Total Rewards, Payroll, Tax, Legal, Finance, etc.). Analyses include, but are not limited to, cost modeling / forecasting / trending, competitive market analysis, workers comp, total compensation reporting, etc.
  • Contribute to decisions involving the design, implementation, and delivery of broad-based programs and philosophy. Identify innovative approaches and techniques to move the company and the function forward.
  • Respond timely to employee and management inquires, coordinating with internal teams and vendors as appropriate to resolve issues.
  • Provide advice to corporate staff on pay decisions, policy interpretations, and job evaluations.
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors and key internal partners.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation of compensation matters for both internal and external audit compliance.
