Service Planning Engineer

Your role

As a Service Planning Engineer, you are responsible for planning all building and data center maintenance (preventive and corrective maintenance) and related repairs to minimize downtime. You are responsible for the optimal functioning of the annual maintenance plan and have an overview of the upcoming activities. In addition, you coordinate all customer service requests such as remote hands tickets and cross connects and assign them to the engineers. You monitor the SLAs and coordinate the execution by the site teams, prepare processes and procedures and create reports. In this role, you act as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders such as customer service, facility management, security, suppliers, and our customers.

Your profile

  • A well-balanced person who can work under pressure and can handle escalations calmly and competently
  • Self-organized, solution-oriented and a strong sense of urgency while keeping an eye for detail
  • A team player who contributes to team efforts and can also work independently, demonstrating initiative and proactiveness. 
  • Excellent and effective communication skills, both oral and written
  • Creative thinking and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Capability to assemble the bigger picture based on various sources of information.
  • Bachelor / Master’s degree, preferably in a technical field
  • Familiar with typical datacenter infrastructure, like Diesel generators, UPS and cooling systems
  • Experience as a technician in an (electrical or industrial) critical environment
  • Experience of project planning/scheduling and being in a coordination role
  • Fluent in German and English, (minimum B2), both in writing and orally
