Your role
As a Resource Planner for the Implementation Team, your primary responsibility is to meticulously plan and manage Implementation and Customer Onboarding activities to meet existing and future workload demands. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless integration of new customers and projects by proactively identifying and arranging the necessary resources to be available by planning work schedules such that all Implementation Projects are sufficiently staffed and prepared to enable optimal performance.
What you'll do
Customer Onboarding
- Act as a liaison between Design and Implementation to capture, verify, and agree upon customer onboarding details.
- Initiate the implementation process and ensure regular updates to relevant stakeholders
- Set up customers in internal systems according to site requirements, managing portals, and security systems.
- Coordinate customer onboarding activities, including welcome emails.
Implementation Team support
- Facilitate all Implementation activities for projects, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Manage resource requests and serve as the single point of contact for all interfaces to meet project timelines.
- Allocate implementation work orders to relevant resources within agreed OLAs.
- Maintain real-time resource plans, updating project information and standard deployments.
- Resolve conflicts related to resource allocation, timelines, and budget in collaboration with project managers and the Implementation Management team.
- Maintain a rolling forecast of resource needs based on project opportunities.
- Ensure resource plans and documentation comply with internal standards and procedures.
- Manage the Vendor Selection and Management program for selected contractors and suppliers.
- Update systems such as BMS, iTracs, and oversee plug-set and pre-cabling installations.
- Manage project handovers to operations, security, and customers.
Handover
- Facilitate the smooth handover process to operations, security, and the customer.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of resource allocation and identify areas for improvement. Gather feedback from project teams and stakeholders to enhance future handover processes.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of all implemented projects and handover processes. Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions between the Implementation Team and the Operations Team, ensuring a smooth transition of information.
- Assess and enhance customer satisfaction during the transition process by seeking feedback and addressing any customer concerns.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with handovers, such as data discrepancies, security concerns, or operational disruptions. Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges during the transition
What you’ll need
- Proven experience in resource planning and project management.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with data center operations and implementation processes a distinct advantage.
- Basic knowledge of DC products such as cabling, cabinets, PDU's, some hardware understanding, and cooling basics a distinct advantage
- 2/3 years' experience in an administrative or technical role within the private/commercial sector
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel)
- Resource management: ability to efficiently allocate and manager resources
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent multi-tasking and organizational abilities
- Proficient in addressing challenges as they arise
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Demonstrates motivation, a ‘can-do’ attitude and a drive for success
