Position Title: Senior Marketing & Communications Specialist DACH
Location: Vienna

Would you like the opportunity to make a difference in a growing industry as a Senior Marketing & Communications Specialist for the DACH region? Then you’re in the right place. As a Senior Marketing & Communications Specialist, located in Frankfurt or Vienna, you will play a pivotal role in localizing and executing regional and global initiatives and activities spanning the various B2B Marketing channels. With a strong focus on External Communications, you are planning and executing comprehensive local Corporate Communications and Marketing campaigns for the DACH region. 

Along the way, you’ll get to work in partnership with the DACH and HQ Marketing team and collaborate and co-ordinate with our customers, journalists and agencies. 

Your role

  • Create and execute the DACH PR/media plan with a focus on the Austrian market to increase brand awareness and elevate Digital Realty’s profile in target markets.
  • Develop and execute integrated, data-driven Go-to-Market campaigns and content calendars for the DACH area, ensuring alignment with the global marketing plan and clear success criteria for performance and lead generation.
  • Localize global content for subregional audiences to accelerate their journey through the sales funnel, including newsletters, infographics, presentations, local website content, eDM promotions, social media materials, ad artworks, ad copy, webinars, and videos.
  • Plan and coordinate Austrian marketing events and their promotion across virtual, hybrid, or live environments.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to dynamically adjust messaging to align with market changes.
  • Deliver reports on PR and campaign activities, as well as events, including performance against KPIs and ROI, with data-driven insights into leads generated and active tracking of leads through the funnel.

What you’ll need

  • Educated to Bachelor/Master level in journalism, communications studies or marketing,
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience either for an agency or a Marketing organisation (preferably having worked in or for the Tech industry with a B2B focus) in a global corporate working environment,
  • Commercial experience – manage local budget and suppliers,
  • A storyteller with excellent writing skills and strong project management skills,
  • Proven experience in PR and marketing channels within a B2B environment,
  • Competence in using MS Office applications and skilled with Marketo,, Google Analytics or similar tools,
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written, both in German and English (C1 level of CEFR),
  • Must be willing and able to travel.

The salary for this position varies depending on qualifications and experience. Specific salary ranges will be provided for Germany and Austria during the interview process (in Austria we pay a minimum of EUR 50.000,- gross per year based on the Austrian collective agreement).
