Position: Manager Outside Plant (OSP/ISP Manager)

Your role

Digital Realty is looking for an experienced Manager Outside Plant (OSP/ISP Manager) to lead the deployment/documentation of fiber infrastructure needs, meeting customer demand through analyzing current network designs, port/route consumption trends, new technologies and future opportunities for augmentation.  

What you’ll do

• Manage the OSP/ISP projects by leading different internal departments, vendor management and act as main point of contact. 

• Planning and implementation of OSP/ISP projects for commercial/company infrastructure following defined company service delivery process

  • Provide Fiber assignments, identify fiber constraint, estimate build costs and initiate Construction for building adds
  • Executes Bid Process, inclusive of budgetary requirements and the tracking
  • Ensure vendors are adhering to schedule.

• Prepares status/progress reports and updates management on projects

• Verify and update project documentation in company database 

• Timely update of budget requests, purchase orders, project close out and internal service orders. 

• Participate in cross functional teams to better understand the architecture and operations of the network with periodic supervision, including but not limited to reporting, evaluation of new products to enable new service introduction, cost savings, and /or performance utilization.

• Must be able to understand and read construction documents.

What you’ll need

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree or equivalent industry experience; 

Minimum of 5 years of OSP background; Strong OSP construction knowledge for fiber optic cables and fiber infrastructure.

In-depth knowledge of engineering principles required of an OSP job to include general practices, procedures and industry standards along with a working knowledge of right-of-way, property rights, and permit acquisition.

Attention to detail with good organizational skills and the ability to lead a team as a Project Manager.

Good interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work toward collaborative solutions in a fast-moving, largely virtual/remote environment; 

Must be proficient in MS Office applications and modern communication tools; 

Ability to travel to within United States; 

A valid US driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record; 

Attention to detail with good organizational skills; Ability to lead a team as a Project Manager. 

Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience of OSP/ISP buildouts.

Experience with computer aided drafting (CAD) programs.
