Technical Solutions Consultant - Data Centers (f/m/d)

Your role

We are seeking a technically proficient team player (m/f/d) with experience in a multidisciplinary work environment. In this role, you will work closely with Sales, Engineering, and Operations to ensure seamless transitions of solutions to our delivery teams. You will be instrumental in supporting multiple sales efforts at various stages, providing pre-sales technical expertise to ensure that our solutions meet customer requirements and deliver maximum value.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Design Support: Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Operations teams to support the technical design activities for commercial opportunities.
• Pre-Sales Expertise: We are looking for a candidate to support global sales by providing technical expertise. The ideal candidate will understand technical interdependencies, collect in-depth information from specialists, and communicate and sell complex solutions, acting as a consultant for the sales team and clients. 
• Customer Engagement: Act as the “technical face” of Digital Realty, understanding customer business, operational, and technical requirements to present tailored solutions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build strong working relationships with colleagues within the country, region, and globally, serving as the primary technical interface between various functions.
• Transition Management: Ensure solutions are successfully transitioned to the delivery teams, maintaining high standards and customer satisfaction throughout the process.

What you’ll need

• Data Centre Expertise: You will need a comprehensive grasp of the technical requirements, challenges, and dependencies of cutting-edge data centers, coupled with a willingness to enhance this understanding through hands-on experience in a manageable period 
• Facilitation Skills: Proven experience in facilitating multidisciplinary idea-, alignment- and decision workshops.          
• Technical Skills: Essential experience in electrical, mechanical, network, or operational aspects of data centres.
• Project Management: Proven project management experience with internal and external stakeholders is advantageous.
• Technical Tools: Experience with tools such as Salesforce and AutoCAD, Adobe CS is beneficial.
• Fluent English and German for communication in international teams
