The role 

You’ll be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end Lead-to-Cash process which includes all business activities from initial customer contact through to contract management from a finance function perspective. This role requires a deep understanding of the customer lifecycle, including lead generation and qualification, opportunity management, offer development and contract management. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, legal and our channel / alliance partners, to ensure the Lead-to-Cash process is efficient and aligned with the company’s financial goals.

What you’ll do

  • Design and implement best practices, process improvements, and provide requirements to IT for system enhancements to streamline and optimize the Lead-to-Cash cycle, including creation of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure process effectiveness.
  • Monitoring the agreed KPIs through a data driven analytical lens, to proactively spot bottlenecks and take the initiative to deep dive into any issues, analyze them and come up with a solution to resolve.
  • Coordinate with sales, marketing, legal and channel / alliance teams to ensure seamless execution of the Lead-to-Cash process – identifying where upstream sales activities may be causing issues for finance. 
  • Being the end-to-end finance lead in the process lifecycle, including documenting changes in process flows and managing the respective change management activities around those changes (including training materials, delivery of training and RACI alignment) 
  • Coordinate with IT to integrate and optimize the use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems in support of the Lead-to-Cash activities.
  • Define and maintain the process and control standards documentation (to level 5 work instructions) for Lead-to-Cash, including building process-level controls based on internal standards and ensuring the process is SOX compliant.
  • Identify and manage risks that could impact the Lead-to-Cash cycle, and propose practical strategies as required.
  • Provide effective Line Management across the Lead-to-Cash team to ensure adequate staffing, training, and performance management.
  • Preparing presentations, reporting packs and draft communications for Management 

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or similar discipline. 
  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role, either in industry or in an advisory capacity. 
  • Public or Private Equity (PE) backed private company experience.
  • Experience in the Tech industry or Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) is preferred. 
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly effective communicator both written and verbal.
  • Team player, flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management and Enterprise Resource Planning systems. 
  • Practical, results-oriented team builder with superior analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills.
