Your Role

Are you ready to lead with a 'customer-first' mindset and ensure the seamless delivery of customer requests? Join us as a Lead Technician (LT) at Digital Realty, where you'll prioritize timely and accurate planning while providing advanced technical support. You'll oversee daily customer service requests, manage resources efficiently, and ensure excellent service levels. In this role, you'll also assist in training and developing Data Centre Technicians, act as the primary contact in the absence of the Manager Remote Hands, and support Site Management in customer communications during operations and incident escalations.

As a technical leader, you'll ensure compliance with industry standards, supervise and mentor technicians, and facilitate their training and development. You'll collaborate with Site Management to identify efficiencies and innovations, manage compliance and documentation, and optimize resource utilization. Your responsibilities also include acting as a single point of contact for customer service requests, providing advanced technical support, and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders. Your Profile

  • Vocational training or higher education in a technical field as electrotechnical, mechanical and cooling or similar
  • Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience as a technician in a sector preferably of telecommunication, IT, Data Center or similar with a electrotechnical, mechanical or industrial background
  • Demonstrated experience in HVAC, mechanical, electrical or data installations and terminations
  • Professional experience in maintenance and operational maintenance, or also commissioning of industrial equipment
  • Independent worker, a high degree of personal responsibility and willingness to perform
  • Open to work in a 24x7 environment and willing to work in shift
  • Fluent in English; German is an advantage
