Your role
Are you proactive, adaptable to change, open to new ideas, keen to takes on new responsibilities, great at analysing risk, making decisions and handling pressure and capable of acting as a mentor to a site engineering team? Then you’re just the person we need for this challenging, customer critical role. Reporting directly to a Data Centre Manager, it involves seeing that all works on site are carried out in line with the appropriate safe system of works and permit system. Day-to-day, we’ll rely on you to provide first line response to all building services infrastructure issues too, and, where specialist knowledge/skills are required, escalate any problems to third party contractors. As well as ensuring the successful completion of planned and reactive maintenance work on the building services infrastructure, as the HV Authorised Person, you’ll also play a significant role with switching, and its associated planning. And, along the way, you’ll get to regularly liaise with stakeholders in Service Planning and Security Services and a variety of suppliers and customers.
