Environmental & Sustainability Manager Nordic

Your role  

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Environmental & Sustainability Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating and maintaining a structured approach to compliance with relevant ISO standards and legislation, as well as driving continuous improvement in energy efficiency and environmental sustainability across our Nordic Data centers. 

What you’ll do  

• Setup and manage Environmental & Sustainability Management in the Nordics, aligning with global strategies. 
• Support Service Operation in setting, monitoring, and achieving local Environmental and Sustainability targets. 
• Structure and perform regular reporting to authorities, HQ, and customers on environmental and energy-related status and progress. 
• Develop a culture of environmental responsibility through training and coaching initiatives. 
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements and maintain ISO14001 and ISO50001 certifications in collaboration with the Nordic operational organization. 
• Manage the development and release of policies, procedures, and work instructions to ensure compliance with ISO standards. 
• Prepare audits and reports related to Environmental & Sustainability in conjunction with HQ requirements. 
• Provide support to customers during internal or external audits as requested. 
• Bring relevant new legislation to the attention of the Leadership Team and ensure the implementation for the Nordic Data Centre’s. 
• Identify and prepare improvement programs related to Environment & Sustainability, supporting business cases for environmental and energy efficiency projects. 

• Join the Digital Realty EMEA Regional community for Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Management 

What you’ll need  

• Bachelor´s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related field.  
• Fluent in both English and Danish 
• Experience in environmental and sustainability management within a corporate setting.  
• Strong knowledge of ISO14001 and ISO50001 standards and certification processes. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Proven ability to engage and motivate teams towards sustainability goals.  
• Experience in preparing and presenting reports to senior management and external stakeholders.
