Your role
The Marketing & Event Senior Associate will support in the execution of the marketing strategy across our events portfolio, including but not limited to: owning event administration, trade show execution as well as the running of internal and external events in a virtual, live or hybrid environment. The role will support the marketing team in all marketing efforts specialising in the event activity whilst delivering a distinctive brand experience. This will involve working in partnership with the country teams as well as co-ordinating with the regional and global marketing teams. Activities will cover a broad range of areas including research, digital tools, events, and content.
What you'll do
Event coordination
- Support on liaising with global, regional & country marketing colleagues, as well as Segment colleagues to execute on event strategy for the region.
- Be a key member of the global events team – build effective relationships with peers in all regions, take and share best practices and continuously raise the level of our event participation.
- Liaise with key conference partners and team members (internal and external) to ensure successful conference execution; build and maintain good relationships by establishing trust and a working partnership.
- Manage admin around proposals, purchase orders, contracting and terms and conditions for suppliers.
- Plan, organise and execute the production of virtual sessions from scheduling, recording, quality checks to delivery.
- Support country marketing teams on the execution of webinars and virtual events.
- Support and manage elements of the full calendar year of activity including research, logistics, shipping, and onsite support.
- Manage execution across in-person conferences/trade shows.
- Supporting the Digital Realty brand in all aspects of the company's marketing efforts.
- Provide general marketing administrative support as necessary which may include organising meetings, arranging travel, processing expense reports, tracking budgets, calendaring etc.
- Coordinating with Social Media Manager on social promotion for events.
- Managing branded items and giveaways.
- Maintain the conference and events calendar.
- Support on coordinating creative requests through to completion and coordinating with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc.
- Reporting on lead generation and KPIs.
- Execute pre and post event demand generation activity utilising marketing automation system.
- Close management of the event budget with support of Senior Manager.
Demand Generation and Pipeline Acceleration
- Where explicitly tied to an event, lead the demand generation activities to drive pipeline and increase awareness of the Digital Realty brand – generating demand across Europe.
What you’ll need
- Experience within technology industry preferable
- Exceptional planning & organisational skills; creation and follow-up of plans & setting priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Creative & innovative with a strong attention to detail
- Motivated team player with desire to learn and grow
- A demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines with efficiency and accuracy.
- Experience with marketing automation systems, Marketo bring preferable
- Willingness to learn and an interest in developing a career in marketing
- Self-Starter with great problem-solving skills
- Strong technology skills, e.g. MS Office
- Ability to thrive in high pressure situations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing
- 3+ years event management experience
- Proven event operational skills
