What you’ll need:

To be a good fit for the Sr. Development Project Cost Analyst opportunity you will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, or related field. 
• Proven experience as an accountant or financial analyst in a development or real estate context.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ability to prepare concise and impactful Power Point decks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

What you’ll do:

The Sr. Development Project Cost Analyst will report into the Manager, Construction Accounting & Reporting and will be responsible for:

• Financial Analysis: Analyze and report on the financial performance of development projects, providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with project managers to monitor project budgets, ensuring alignment with overall financial goals, and to prepare monthly cash forecasts for a portfolio of large-scale development projects.
• Cost Tracking: Monitor and track development costs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to budgetary constraints.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for development projects, including variance analysis and commentary.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies related to development projects.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with project management, finance, and portfolio management teams to streamline processes and enhance overall project efficiency.
