Your role 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the Director of IT & Corporate Procurement. As the Director, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the strategic sourcing and procurement of all IT and Corporate related goods and services for our organization. Your leadership and expertise will contribute to optimizing our technology investments while ensuring global standardization, cost efficiency, supplier relationship management, and alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT procurement, supplier management, and strategic decision-making. The position will be in Dallas TX.

What you’ll do 

Strategic Sourcing and Procurement

  • Develop and execute comprehensive IT procurement strategies aligned with the organization's overall goals and technological roadmap.
  • Identify, evaluate, and engage with suppliers to source IT hardware, software, services, and solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to achieve favorable terms and conditions while maintaining cost-effectiveness.

Supplier Management

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key IT suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance, conduct regular reviews, and ensure compliance with contractual agreements and service-level agreements.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to identify opportunities for innovation, cost reduction, and value enhancement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with IT leadership, finance, legal, and other relevant stakeholders to align IT procurement strategies with business objectives and budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to understand their technology requirements and translate them into effective procurement strategies.

Risk Management and Compliance

  • Stay informed about industry regulations, market trends, and best practices related to IT procurement.
  • Mitigate risks related to supplier relationships, contract terms, and information security through thorough due diligence and compliance measures.

Budget Oversight

  • Develop and manage the IT procurement budget, ensuring financial targets are met and resources are allocated efficiently.
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting related to IT procurement activities to support decision-making.

Process Improvement

  • Continuously assess and enhance the IT procurement processes to drive operational efficiency, automation, and standardization.
  • Develop business case and implement tools and technologies that streamline procurement workflows and enhance data-driven decision-making.

What you’ll need

  • At least 6-8 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing and negotiation of IT and Corporate goods and services, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, IT, Finance, or related field.  MBA or equivalent degree preferred.
  • Strong understanding of IT technologies, hardware, software licensing, and services procurement.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and insights to make informed decisions.
  • Solid understanding of contract management, legal frameworks, and vendor risk assessment.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific compliance standards and regulations.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Strong in planning and executing global programs, including technical writing skills for global policies
