Mechanical & Cooling Engineer (f/m/d)

Your Role

As a Mechanical & Cooling Engineer in our dynamic operations team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the functionality and availability of our data center's essential mechanical and cooling infrastructure. Monitoring the Building Management Systems (BMS) and utilizing cutting-edge tools, you'll provide engineering support to swiftly resolve any issues that arise. Your dedication to completing all preventive and corrective maintenance works on time and in line with Digital Realty policies, without causing disruptions to our valued customers and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), will be key. Embrace the challenge of optimizing our systems and enhancing Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) to drive our data center's efficiency to new heights!

What you’ll need  

• Ability to assess complex mechanical and electrical systems, making well-founded decisions to mitigate risks and impacts.
• A passion for learning, coupled with creative thinking and exceptional problem-solving skills.
• Strong ability to prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced environment, staying calm under pressure.
• A collaborative and outgoing personality, eager to take initiative and make things happen.
• Dedication to finding efficiency improvement opportunities in systems and processes.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral.
• Bachelor's/master's degree in engineering (preferably Mechanical, Thermodynamics, Electrical, or related).
• Experience in a critical environment is advantageous, but not essential.
