Position Title:  Director of Cyber Assurance

Location: Dallas, TX 

Your role

Digital Realty’s Cyber Resilience Team is the front line for all things pertaining to our company’s digital security posture. Deputy Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) with a matrix to the VP of Compliance, the Director of Cyber Assurance, will sit at the intersection between DLR’s internal governance security efforts, cyber readiness and defense function and internal and external engagement work. The successful candidate will be a key member of both internal and external functional, strategic, and business responsibilities. As envisioned, this role will be responsible for identifying and developing cyber risk standards, best practices, policies and strategies around technology and cybersecurity. 

This leader will lead the DLRs governance programs, to include Board Reporting, governance work, and the development of the ISO/SOC security strategy. This role will track compliance with ISO policies and standards by partnering with security policy /standard owners and information security leaders to develop metrics and reporting to measure compliance and develop action plans where necessary. In addition, within ISO and across DLR this role will be responsible for development and execution of a security awareness program and company-wide security training, general engagement support to the CISO and compliance teams, and all security regulatory engagement and support DLR’s business/clients related to security inquiries. This leader will also lead the internal audit and assessment function, specific to security engagements. Finally, this role will lead the Cyber Readiness program which aims to enhance the firm’s resilience to cyber-threats by building knowledge, skills, and abilities to effectively identify and respond to cyber threats, then exercise and evaluate readiness across the firm. 

What you’ll do 

• Maintain a wholistic understanding of your customers portfolio; be proactive in anticipating their needs
• Execute full-cycle events throughout customer’s time with the company, including Closed Loop Management, Onboarding, Training, Implementation, Service Reviews, KPI/SLA Tracking, Escalations Management
• Leverage your relationship with clients along with our in-house tools/scorecards to ensure we are meeting all customer requirements and identifying ways to improve their experience with the company. Regularly meet with customers to ensure we are aligned with their needs.

Partner with our Business Development group to execute renewal agreements and identify customer customers that may be candidates for expansion to scale and/or hyperscale solutions.

What you’ll need 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field from a 4-year accredited university
• 7+ Years’ Cyber Experience, preferably working within Tech, Telecom, Network Operations or a related field
• Strong Understanding of Data Center Ops and the ability understand customer needs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Auditing Background
• Policy Governance
• Compliance Frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC2, FedRAMP, NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53)
