Your Role

The Energy and Sustainability Engineer function is a part of our Capacity department, which is responsible for managing our energy capacity and efficiency within our datacenters, but also for development of our energy strategy and improvement projects, relevant for the existing and planned Data Centers. On this function, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing energy-efficient and sustainable systems and processes. By identifying areas for improvement, you will be able to develop and implement plans in order to reduce energy consumption and increase sustainability.

You will achieve your goals by cooperating with other functions within the Operations department and making a positive impact on the Power Usage Efficiency (PUE) for our DC sites based in Germany.

Your Profile

Vocational qualification in a technical field (e.g. electrical engineer, energy management)
3+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in the Data Center Industry and alternatively with an electric utility, financial institution, energy supplier, renewable energy project developer, or energy intensive consumer
Strong understanding of energy systems and renewable energy technologies.
Knowledge of building science and energy-efficient design principles.
Experience with project management and the ability to effectively manage projects
Structured and solution-oriented working method
Ability to thrive in a dynamic international environment
Fluent in German and English
