Maintenance Planning Engineer

Your Role

As Maintenance Planning Engineer you establish and negotiate schedules for maintenance and technical activities. It includes the preparation and the coordinating of all building- and data-center maintenance (preventive, corrective) and all related repairs in order to minimize ‘downtime’. You are also responsible for the optimal functioning of the maintenance process and acts as a bridge between the operations and maintenance contractors/suppliers & Customers. You will oversee:

• Schedule all maintenance and technical activities
• Coordinate all maintenance activities with contractors and operation according to the planning
• Ensure that activities are scheduled efficiently, in compliance with safety, security and quality requirements
• Prepare timely notifications to customers and internal stakeholders
• Prepare all Work Permits related to Maintenance activities
• Support by measurements of process and set KPI’s

What you’ll need

• From 2 to 5 years of experience in maintenance or operations coordination, including planning/scheduling and reporting
• Good knowledge of maintenance schedules and specific maintenance guidelines in a data-center environment and industry in general.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills; he/she always delivers win-win arrangements
• Reliable team player and able to work with multiple departments at different level of the organization.
• Strong enthusiasm for learning, with creative thinking and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand, write and review technical documents.
• Ability to prioritize in complex, fast-paced environment and work well under pressure.
• Bachelor / Master's degree level in a technical field or local equivalent.
• Fluent in German and English, both in writing and orally
• Experience in a critical environment is an advantage.
