Snr. Director - CSP Delivery

Your role

This role will lead and drive alignment of the Cloud Service Provider Delivery strategy to other regional teams to ensure our delivery approach and customer engagement is aligned through the regions for ‘Red Carpet’ customers.

CSP EMEA provide a PMO style function for all Red Carpet accounts. You will lead a team and provide leadership, guidance and consultative support to our regional and country teams, you will drive governance, best practice and consistency for ‘Red Carpet’ build programs.

You will define and execute an EMEA strategy for delivery (contract to provision) of ‘Red Carpet’ build programs and be a a key stakeholder in the ‘Lead to Contract’ (design) stage.

General Duties

  • Leads a Cloud Service Provider Delivery team
  • Accountable for the delivery of ‘Red Carpet’ customer build programs in line with contract conditions
  • Programme management reporting control for ‘Red Carpet’ customer builds
  • Collaborates on strategic delivery goals and objectives across sales, DE&C and Operations
  • Accountable for the CSP resource strategy for future builds working with country MD’s and Operation Directors
  • Defines strategy and process for integrated planning through key build stages (construction, white space fitout and data center acceptance)
  • Partner with sales, DE&C and Operations on development and planning of new builds and customer opportunities
  • Leads continuous improvement, collaborating with DE&C, sales, operations, design and implementation services communities
  • Drives awareness of Digital Realty’s Health and Safety culture, measures adoption on Red Carpet delivery projects
  • Leads strategic planning and improvement programs
  • Creates and maintains relationships at a customer peering level
  • Accountable for the Digital Realty partner program ensuring pipeline forecast is planned for cost effective execution
  • Directs the country teams on expectations and standards from our ‘Red Carpet’ customers. Accountable to maintain and evolve playbooks for country execution teams to follow and drive consistency in how ‘Red Carpet’  implementations are completed

What you’ll need 

  • Comprehensive experience (10+ years) working in mission critical environments within a large data centre, IT/Telecoms or similar organisation
  • Demonstrable experience in applying PMP principles in the field
  • Strong understanding and experience working with Hyperscale / Platform customers across Europe
  • Experience working with / on project management software, including scheduling software
  • Management of people and teams (direct and via matrix org) across Europe required
  • Experience required in management of (white labelled) external resources
  • Experience leading a function within an Operations environment.
  • Continuous process improvement experience and defining and managing associated metrics and KPIs.
  • Can prepare & present relevant information to all types of audiences in audio, video and stand-up settings
  • Excellent report writing skills of a technical and business nature
  • Experience of working in an international and multi-cultural environment across EMEA
  • Ability to lead and manage an EMEA wide team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; Advanced level preferred
  • PMP or equivalent required

Platform Delivery Team Working

Work collaboratively with your peers - the EMEA Interconnection Services and EMEA Platform Delivery Service Owner to help drive the wider EMEA Platform Delivery functional strategy ensuring that data, information, issues, plans, initiatives and targets are visible and achieved in a team approach. Represents Cloud Service Provider Delivery in EMEA communities and on the global stage. Build the respect, trust and credibility of the organization.
