Technical Project Manager

Your role

As a Technical Project Manager, you are responsible to manage, co-ordinate and facilitate operational technical infrastructure-projects within the Interxion Campus in Zurich. You will be using project and program management methods to ensure projects are delivered on time, in quality and within the approved budget. In this context, you regularly report on the project status and communicate possible business risks to the key stakeholders. You also ensure that all documentation for the projects is kept up to date and carry out risk assessments to ensure that the safety of people and infrastructure is always guaranteed.

In this role, you act as a liaison between multiple internal and external stakeholders such as facility management, service design, service transition, security, suppliers, and our customers.

 

Your profile

  • A well-balanced person who can work under pressure and can handle escalations calmly and competently
  • Self-organized, solution-oriented and a strong sense of urgency while keeping an eye for detail
  • A team player who contributes to team efforts and can also work independently, demonstrating initiative and proactiveness. 
  • Confident and effective communication skills, both oral and written
  • Capability to assemble the bigger picture based on various sources of information.
  • Ability to read commercial building blueprints and understand electrical single lines and schematics. 
  • Strong Technical Writing skills and experience; as well as creating, coordinating, updating and/or modifying MOP/SOPs for critical facilities equipment.
  • Broad understanding of construction Health and Safety law and regulations.
  • Expert technical level with broad knowledge of the Data Centre infrastructure.
  • Fluent in German and English, (minimum C1), both in writing and orally.
  • 5 years’ experience proven technical project management experience.
  • Engineering Degree, preferably with an electrical, mechanical, or cooling background.
