Your role

The Controller role is a country-level role for the EMEA region reporting to the Country/Regional Finance Director. The role offers you the opportunity to expand your skills and experience in multiple areas, including support to drive financial and commercial decisions, investment analysis, and improving data governance. The role is highly visible, and your success in this role may set you up to pursue multiple career paths within our organization across geographies. You are a naturally a strong team player who takes full ownership of the work, focusing on impact through tangible results. Taking initiative, you are a structured and organized person who is dynamic and constructive. With deep experience in financial planning and analysis, you are practical, have an analytical approach, good communication and presentation skills. You are a problem solver and fast learner, and you will support the Country Finance Director to identify optimized solutions while proactively mitigating risks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provides analyses on monthly and quarterly results
Provide analytical support on strategic and commercial decisions, which involves analysing large volumes of data to pull out key insights and recommendations
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts
Assist in the analysis and preparation of investment memos and project approval forms, including the preparation of returns analysis and cash flows
Support local management reporting and ad hoc financial analysis
Support implementation and roll-out of new finance systems or processes
Collaborate with teams across disciplines including sales & marketing, operations, portfolio management and legal to problem solve and maximise business efficiency

What you’ll need

Educated to degree level in accounting or relevant working experience
5+ years’ experience in a similar position – preferably in an international environment
Profound knowledge of Excel and Excel programming (macro, query)
Profound knowledge of IFRS reporting requirements
Fluent in Dutch and English
