Director Network Service Provider Strategy and Business Development

  Scorpius 30, Amsterdam

Your role

In this role you will be a key contributor in the team to support Digital Realty’s business development strategy and thought leadership within the Network Service provider segment. You will be responsible for identifying and developing the relationships with a targeted set of strategic “magnetic” customers in the Network Service Provider segment and working with sales to bring their capabilities and platforms onto PlatformDIGITAL, as the catalyst from which to grow our Connected Communities.  You are aa driving force behind the evolving strategy of integration of Digital Realty services into our Network Service Provider’s portfolio to accelerate and scale our go to market activities to the enterprise customer base. Besides this you will also be responsible for marketing the Connected Communities capabilities both internally and externally to maximize awareness and generate new business opportunities.

What you’ll need

  • >10 years work experience and track record of delivering results in either a business development, marketing or sales role within the Connectivity industry
  • >3 years of experience working within alliance management, capacity to interact with partner C-level and decision makers and create momentum around joint partnerships
  • MBA or University Degree in business studies, marketing or another relevant discipline
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken,
  • Intimate understanding of the  Network Service Provider industry: language, problems, strategies, technology, market and competitive trends.
  • Access to a network of senior contacts within groups including - industry experts, existing customers, target companies, partners.
  • Business development, Sales and Marketing (Including market entry)
  • Technical Knowledge of Connectivity solutions (Probably from a Technical / Product background)
  • Strong ability to effectively build relationships both externally and internally, at all levels up to and including C Level
  • Strong Leadership skills and ability to influence senior execs both internally and externally
  • Highly developed communication and presentation skills, verbal and written

The Service Provider business segment contains all relevant global, regional and national Hyperscale, B2B Cloud, System Integrators and OEMs, Digital Media and Network Service Providers.
