Position Title: Financial Analyst

Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid)

Your role

This opportunity is based out of Digital Realty’s Dallas, TX office with flexibility to work from home. Business growth and mergers and acquisitions have created a need for a full-time analyst in the global IT organization to support a growing volume of international business transactions and relationships. You’ll be a member of the IT Business Operations team and work closely with members of Digital Realty’s global IT staff, project managers, accounting teams, and the suppliers and partners in our global IT supply chain. The position requires focus and attention to detail but also enthusiasm and flexibility to work with others as we integrate IT operations.

What you’ll be doing

The Financial Analyst supports several groups but is most heavily involved in assisting accounting and payables team in North American, EMEA, and APAC to ensure IT spend is recorded accurately and timely.

Identifying and re-directing stray invoices
Troubleshooting and resolving blocked and aging invoices
Catching duplicate invoices and flagging them according to A/P guidelines
Coding IT invoices to correct cost centers and GL accounts
Communicating with suppliers to improve invoice submission processes
Receiving and matching POs to invoices (2-way and 3-way matching)
Assisting with new vendor set ups
Fixing vendor records when duplicates or remittance errors occur
Noticing unusual trends in spend patterns and researching the causes
Contributing to explanations of budget and forecast variances
Providing monthly accrual guidance to accounting
Purchase order maintenance including closing them after fulfillment
Uploading contracts and order documents to an IT contracts library
Suggesting better practices, process improvements, and time saving ideas

What you’ll need

To be a good fit for this opportunity you should have:

2+ years of experience within a purchasing, accounts payable, commercial property management, construction, or information technology environment in a role with exposure to hardware, software, telecom, and services transactions.
Experience with EMEA and APAC procurement and payables is a big plus.
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or other discipline is preferred but can be substituted with experience.
Significant hands-on experience using an enterprise procure-to-pay platform for requisitions, purchase orders, and payables. Digital Realty currently uses Yardi Voyager and is converting to Oracle Cloud over the next few years.
Proficiency in Microsoft O365 applications with the ability to produce and analyze complex spreadsheets.
Understanding of general ledger and cost center structures and journal entries.
Professional customer service skills and strong team player.
